The curriculum support has developed and run structured coaching guidelines, which include codes of conduct. Programmes within schools are based on a six-week programme i.e. half of one term. Elite Community Coaching offer coaching sessions that cover a variety of sports such as football, rugby, hockey, athletics, cricket and basketball in accordance with the national curriculum.
Before any ball is kicked it is important that the children warm up and stretch.
We currently work nearly sixty hours per week in many schools, supporting their PPA cover.
Elite Community Coaching also provides for and assists many schools in special themed weeks such as healthy living, fitness and sports days/weeks. We help support the school within the classroom, by introducing sessions that relate to the work being covered by the children.
Working together with the school we have found this is to be a fantastic experience for all parties, especially the children.
One project we have found to be a huge success is the lunch time club, where we work closely with children who find it hard to interact with others. We encourage them to learn essential life skills and introduce sessions that help build self-esteem and confidence to work together as part of a team. In turn we acknowledge the children's achievement and highlight this in school assemblies. |
